The Pittini Group has made significant investments in its rolling plants to specialise in the production of high-carbon wire rods, expanding its range of products.
Pittini’s medium carbon wire rod is designed for the manufacturing of nails, staples and various applications in the mechanical industry.
G3V66 grade high carbon wire rod is used for the production of reinforcing wire for tyres.
G3V72 high carbon wire rod is employed in the production of wire for mechanical springs, while G3V80 and G3V82 high carbon wire rods are used to manufacture pc strands and wires for railway sleepers, guaranteeing high strength combined with excellent ductility (tensile strength up to 1240 MPa and minimum striation of 30%).
The wire rod produced in Osoppo and Verona obtained the EPD Certification – Environmental Product Declaration – by the certifying partner ICMQ, the Institute for certification and quality branding for products and services for construction.
